Getting psyched for the trunk show

All Dogged Up's fall trunk show is just around the corner. We're introducing two brand new lines and also found these darling long-sleeved tees - feminine cut and yummy colors. We have three images on three delicate colors of shirts. The new things will only be available at live events till we can work out some web issues, so please come and tell your friends. I'll write more as we get closer, but you can put it on your calendar now - October 26 from noon till 5pm at 1306 Genesee in Lansing.

Monday

All Dogged Up had a great weekend Capital Area Humane Society event - gorgeous weather and we sold well. This means we can actually pay for the product. Once we've paid web fees, Constant Contact fees, web development bills and our suppliers we might have broken even. I'm told this isn't bad for a business as young as ours.

What felt great this weekend is that the people we define as our demographic were there and responded so well to our products. We also got the sense that people had actually read some recent articles and the buzz is starting to kick in about the Three Hot Bitches. We were able to hand out some new cards which really show off the products nicely.

This morning I'm checking out a home where I'll be part of a holiday arts sale - more on that later. My house is full of fairy houses which are waiting for their new homes.

Animal Rescue

After reading about a rescue effort for a dog at Shelter of the Heart I did this painting of one of Jennifer's dogs with the following in mind:

In the course of 24 hours I met this woman on line who has already written a totally lovely article about All Dogged Up. Her blogs is In the Shelter of You Heart and her passion is large dog rescue. It's clear from everything I've seen that her heart is, indeed, large!

September

This is, without doubt, my favorite week of the month, when the mornings are cool and I feel my energy turn productive.

Today I'm almost painfully aware of how many hats I'm wearing. It's all a bit scary.

At All Dogged Up we have several events and a trunk show this fall and are prepping some new products for that. I just feel like this company has so much potential. In the short run we just need to get people to the site, so anyone reading this - please tell everyone or make suggestions.

The CADDi is coming along...have a good marketing opportunity before me. I'm pivoting on the point of whether I should commit to getting more printed...want inventory, but not too much. I REALLY want to get custom orders, but know that's still something I'm building toward. Should I do some sort of stocking-stuffer special for the holidays?

I need to get more images up on Etsy and fill that gallery up a bit. Have a lot of new clay pieces and several home-shows and a gallery gig in Kalamazoo coming up in October, so have to figure out what pieces should go where.

The illustration work just comes and goes as always.

I'd better get to work.
